The Worcester County Tea Party Mission Statement:
The Worcester Tea Party is the apparent never ended intrusion of government into the personal lives of all individuals. Our membership includes people from all walks of life. Our members are united by their support for:
- The return to our founding principles of individual responsibility and limited government.
- Sound fiscal policy from Washington, Beacon Hill, and City Hall.
- The reduction of the tax and regulatory burden heaped on businesses, communities and families here in the Commonwealth and across the country.
- Transparency as the means to hold our leadership accountable for their complete disregard for American principles.
The Worcester Tea Party seeks to accomplish these objectives through recruiting, educating, organizing, and mobilizing the citizens of greater Worcester County.
Why the Worcester County Tea Party?
The Worcester Tea Party is a local, all volunteer, non-profit organization. Across the greater Worcester County area we are building the bottom-up organization to return our country back to the principles that made her great.
We need to connect with our neighbors to form strong local groups, ready to take on whatever challenges we face. Together, there's no limit to what we can achieve.
The Worcester Tea Party has become the heart of a network of Tea Party groups sprouting up all over Massachusetts. We share information and ideas with other local Tea Parties across the country.
Our task is enormous. The Tea Party movement has re-awakened the power of the citizen activist in our country. To succeed, we'll need all Americans no matter how they may have voted, to join us in the work ahead.
Nothing is more powerful than your voice in your community. Your voice can support leaders who share our values, and are ready to carry forward our fight for individual rights. Make your voice heard and restore fiscal sanity to Washington DC, the State House and in all the cities and towns of the Commonwealth.
“It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds.” - Samuel Adams
"The liberties of our country, the freedoms of our civil Constitution are worth defending at all hazards; it is our duty to defend them against all attacks." - Samuel Adams
"Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have. The course of history shows us that as a government grows, liberty decreases." - Gerald Ford
